Zahava Weiss
Zahava Weiss graduated from UCLA with a BA specializing
in dance
education. Currently she is a MA candidate at UCLA specializing in somatic
movement therapy and education. She is also a graduate candidate at Moving
On Center's Somatic Movement Therapy Certification Program. Zahava has
been studying dance/movement education and movement therapy for the past
five years. Zahava's dance/movement education began with her intensive
study of contact improvisation, post-modern and modern dance, Laban Movement
Analysis, Bartenieff Fundamentals, Body-Mind Centering, developmental
movement, yoga and capoiera. Over the past two years she has been implementing
Somatic Movement Therapy and dance/movement classes with children diagnosed
with various devlopmental delays.
